Are the instructors at AQP required to wear their uniform? I think they should lead by example and wear their uniform too. They're pilots and they're on the seniority list the they should wear their uniforms.

No lie, I've seen some. But you deal with the offenders on the spot ... not lay another requirement on the rest of us. This isn't the military. I wonder what genius came up with this anyway? The slobs will just clean themselves up for AQP and then go right back to their old ways. Nothing gained except unnecessarily screwing with the rest of us. I'll be showing up in business casual as usual and they can Kma. Rumbold is right, this isn't grade school.

Hey guys, I'm new here and just trying to get some info about Mesa. I'm currently a senior at a 141 college and have most of my flight time already so I'm starting to look at regionals. We recently had some recruiters from Mesa at one of our job fairs and I spoke with them about the company. They we're trying to sell me pretty hard on going to Mesa, they said I wouldn't have to sit reserve, I'd upgrade as soon as I got my 1000 hours of 121 flight time and that they're about to get a new "industry leading" contract. One of the recruiters, a larger guy, also hinted at the possibility of a merger with another CRJ carrier based in Chicago and Denver. I'm just wondering if there's any truth to any of this. I want to trust him, he seems very knowledgable about the 121 world. I've got some decisions to make so I want to be well informed. Thanks!

I'm sure you know this already, but recruiters will tell you anything to make you feel special and get you in the door. Those are likely just rumors and should be taken with a grain of salt. Talk is extremely cheap in this industry and is far from a done deal until it actually happens.

An industry leading contract will never be had here and currently isn't even being sought after by our union. They have repeatedly stated that they are striving for industry average as the end goal.

Good luck on your search but unless you have more than 2 DUIs and/or killed a guy with a trident, then your search is best suited elsewhere.

That is the benefit of working for a WO and not a contract carrier.

Better pay.
Growth.
Stability.
Free iPads.
Much better travel benefits.
Flow.
Profit sharing.
and unexpected perks like 2 free positive space seats anywhere.
