Signing bonus just went from $20,000 to $22,100. It's obviously a response to Endeavor upping their game, was it last week?
And, yes. I would expect PSA and Piedmont to swing back with another increase too.
If anyone is keeping score, the other companies' signing bonuses are now more than a Mesa FO's full year pay.
Watching these volleys go back and forth is entertainment at it's finest.

I think the west coast/southwest region produces more pilots than the east coast. West coasters want to stay put by and large, hence the falling behind of the curve on payrates at skw, cpz and of course mesa.

Here's a question, how come none of the wholly owned regionals have domiciles out west?

This, this, and this. It seems a large number of applicants interested in coming here is because of the PHX domicile, as we have seen in this thread. Folks will drop their panties in a snap and concede on all kinds of points to get out west.

This is in ADDITION to what the WOs announced a few weeks ago. This was announced today.

I'm curious what's going to happen to all of the regional airlines not owned by a major. Going to be very hard for any of them to keep up with the ones owned by American, who has a ton of money to keep up the bonuses. Of course, Mesa is the worst off because of the terrible pay, but this will start affecting others too.

Okay, well, more rumor fun.
Ejets to Dulles (maybe related to yesterday's United announcement regarding 737's and E175's?), but no Hawaii. 700's would go to DFW or PHX (soon to shrink for mainline). To make it all happen, a CBA would have to be reached in the next few months for predictable long term labor costs. The question is pay: management acknowledges the last offer was inadequate, but how much higher will they go? Another factor in play is an offer for flow through to United, which could offset less-than-industry-standard pay rates. So, how much lower, and what kind of flow are we talking? Is it 30 people a month no-questions-asked or a preferential interview for one pilot a year? If this is all true, and if management wants to make it happen, maybe they'll deal. It sounds like mainline is willing to back reasonable pay increases for stable long term lift. If there is a flow with it, maybe the price will be right.
Or this could all be wrong.
