I really don't believe that this Hawaii rumor has any merit whatsoever. Even though I've heard Jo himself confirm that there's gonna be a change with the 700s it's still just doesn't make any sense from a business standpoint to open another Hawaii operation. Most of those Charlotte captains are now in Dallas and they'll quit before they have to move again. Even if we did get another 30 ejets how long would it take for them to be online and to see those upgrades. Usually it takes a year for aircraft to start being delivered. Based on reserve grid here in Phoenix this company can't wait a year For the quick upgrade carrot to attract people. We are losing anywhere between 15 and 30 pilots a month and can barely hire 4. Time is running out for this company. Like I said before Mesa does not deserve to exist .

All I know is if they have a big announcement to make they better make it quick because there is a lot of people on the books leaving some have given their two weeks on notice already some have not.

Besides money being over rated, it makes perfect sense using CRJ700's for 15 to 20 minute flights, with 8 to 10 leg days. It's not like cycles matter with these things. It's not a problem paying for this either, JO got another credit card with zero interest for the first year.

Thanksgiving commute
Obviously we all know the day before Thanksgiving is the busiest travel day of the year..
here's my issue: I commute (to DFW). I'm off for 5 days and start a trip on Thanksgiving Day.. is it insane to consider trying to commute in that morning, or is everyone eating turkey and watching football and flight loads are light as a result?? Commuting in the day before would surely be the stupidest idea ever.. but I don't want to sit in a hotel in DFW on my days off just so I'm "in place" for my trip starting Thursday..
thoughts?
