I'm not a company cheerleader, but I do appreciate accuracy.

...that's not true. Additionally, unless you've accrued 1000 hours in the left seat, it might not even be worth leaving for an LCC. To each his own, but there's absolutely a reason to stay at Mesa - for the time being - if you're building some TPIC. As for FO's, unless that upgrade is getting close, I'd agree it might be time to look elsewhere.

Well, you "could" make a diagonal move to another regional, or you "could" make a vertical move to a cargo company like many Mesa people have done lately. Don't have to limit yourself to an RJ.

Stuck at Mesa, tried lateral moves... Compass, SKW, Endeavor, Envoy, Spirit, nope...
Hmm... explains why I'm at Mesa... going down with the sinking ship and then hitting the food court as a worker at the local mall... yep! I'm screwed in the airline pilot life!

So to all of you some of us here cannot get out even if we wanted to... explains a lot!

Don't give up, keep building experience, and if you have training failures, build as much distance away from them as possible by not having any more. Go to a job fair, and network. Invest in an interview prep service, it'll be the best money you ever spent. Try to pick a place that other people don't want to go to yet. Once the flood of regional pilots discover a place is decent, its too late.

Beatnavy - I don't think the poster intended to indicate this is a REASON for staying at Mesa, it's just surprising given the working conditions that the pilots are still enjoyable to work with. When you're making top regional wages with real benefits it probably a little easier "to be fun to fly with".

You ask me to eat a bowl of **** for free and I'll complain all day. Pay me a million bucks and with a big smile I'll ask for a second helping please! Lol

Thanks so much for the kind words and advice!! My training failures kept me out of Skywest and endeavor and my hiring at trans states and rejecting a class date there for Mesa kept me out of compass. But that's all I can do keep my head down and nose clean! Yeah I'm going to build experience and career fair it up starting in spring.

I know I'm regretting my decision everyday. I could still be on reserve and have my promised flow. All I have now is 4 bars and a awesome schedule. But seriously let us know how it is in 6 months. You "might" change your tune. Good luck I hope it works out.

giggity37 left Envoy for Mesa-I'll give you a moment to stop laughing..go ahead, I'll wait-then proceeded act like he made the best decision ever. And when I left Mesa for Envoy, he made the post above...

Well, it's been well over 6 months...and how is it working out for me? Lol...you still think I "might" change my tune? Well here you go: Best decision of my life. Night and day. How else can I put it?

Another point: Some of you at Mesa are afraid of making a lateral move because you think a Regional is a Regional is a Regional. Wrong. Listen carefully. Anywhere you go from Mesa will be a HUGE step up...including to any other Regional short of Great Lakes or Silver. You don't realize how much better other Regionals are run, how they are more professional, how better life is, etc...

Point is, it's not a lateral move if you are coming from Mesa. For Christ's sake look at the pay difference between Mesa and Envoy. That's just for starters. The training, maintenance, benefits, all of it is like going from a podunk commuter to a real airline. Get up and move now...you are wasting time at Mesa.

And giggity37...tell us how things are working out for you these days. Still want to make sarcastic, smug remarks? Still think you leaving Envoy for Mesa was a great move? We've come a very long way since that original post of yours, haven't we?
You are not an ex Mesa employee, you should stop posting. You are a long time Envoy employee recruiting Mesa pilots while posing as an ex Mesa employee. Stop it.
