Quoted for relevance... This is pretty huge. Very little lapse in pay and enormously better health benefits from day 1.

The comment about getting current rates adjusted for inflation from when they went into effect was not only intriguing but a strikingly reasonable argument. Andy said the FO's got a raise in 2009 so it wouldn't be as pronounced on that side, but at the 76-seat rate a 3rd year Captain would make $79.42/hour. A 20-year Captain would make $122.73.

At the 79-seat rate, that goes up to $136.64.

A lot of the major pay scales see FO's making about 2/3 what an equivalent year Captain makes.

Food for thought.

I'm not sure what was more disappointing, the company conference call or the alpa one.

The ALPA one. At least with the company call you knew they are out to screw the pilots. With the union, you'd hope they would at leave pretend like they are on our side.
