No. That's against the law.

I hope you are correct .

And contrary to popular opinion, the "FNGs" aren't the ones you have to worry about voting yes en mass on this horrid piece of work. It's the older crowd, the guys/gals who have been here for 20+ years and can't leave, who will try to push this POS through. Any newer FO could bail and not be any worse off working anywhere else in this industry.
Agreed....

Maybe I am wrong, we shall see. But I'm just going off of the impression I get from flying with a lot of the lifer CAs in PHX. They are nice guys, but most of them are "company men" just like that guy in the video who has been here since 1983 and doesn't plan on leaving. They don't want to rock the boat because with that kind of longevity and years remaining to retirement, they are better off sticking it out here until the end and taking whatever they can get in the process.

Also I've been accused of having a bad attitude by some of these guys because I think we should get paid more and see things like min day pay and better work rules spelled out in our contract. I always get the same "you should just be happy to be here flying a large regional jet" type response. Now I could be wrong but I feel that most of these types will be voting yes.

Interesting. I haven't flown with any yes voter captains in Phoenix but I did find one in passing. Most have been adamant no voters ****ed they even saw the contract. Flew with a guy today who hadn't read it yet but had heard a few of the things we still don't have in it and was probably voting no accordingly. The one apparent yes voter was a former union guy and is a company guy.

I think the super senior company guys are far fewer than those who are still bitter about being the lowest paid regional guys in the lost decade and are trying to for once have a decent contract. This new one isn't much of a financial or QOL gain (and is worse in some ways). Most I've talked to see no reason to lock in at least 5 more years of this same substandard nonsense.

I definitely agree. The senior CAs I was referencing are hopefully few and far between.

Heck, I could finish my 12 months and jump ship to Endeavor and get a pay raise (factoring in bonuses).

Might I remind everyone about this term of 5 years on the new contract. In 4 1/2 years we will negotiate a new one. So that means if you vote yes to this awful contract you'll have to live with it for almost 10 whole f-ing years. Because, you know mgmt will drag this lower than low contract out as much as possible. Good luck with that garbage. Vote NO

You could not finish your 12 months and be even farther ahead...any bonus that every other regional has will cover the training contract, and their better pay will cover your loss of longevity at Mesa. Also: "The monetary balance of any training agreement shall be reduced by fifty percent (50%) provided the pilot gives the Company forty-five (45) days notice prior to resignation."

Unless JO announces new flying soon, regardless of this vote (unless a landslide no results in a fairly quick TA2 that is more acceptable), a ton of FOs are going to bail and no one will show up for class except a few guys who live in PHX/IAH/DFW/IAD. This could turn real ugly real quick (which is why all this bad language in the TA can and will affect us). But the new flying he will announce will not be enough to stop the future bleeding IMO.
