Does anyone have, or know where I can obtain a copy of that one year training contract we all signed on day one?

Default No money???

There are too many company discretion and "when staffing permits" in the contract. Also, 5 years in this environment is way too long. Still a NO vote from me. It is time Mesa isn't the butt of every joke in the industry anymore.
What a joke. What books, or should I say which set of books were audited by a 3rd party?
Any accounting 101 person knows that all companies / corporations carry multiple sets of accounting books. And it's all very legal!

The new guys need to vote with their feet, which many are doing. For the rest of us, it is very simple to vote no. Scheduling section is nothing more than how things are now, simply combining LOA's into the contract. Also, there is stronger language for everything that benefits the company, like times to show at the gate from when you are called. New contract states 20 minutes, current contract states "reasonable amount of time." Long call reserve, thats a phantom carrot, no one will ever get that. There are no incentives for the company to use it.
This TA is in the back of my mind, it's a NO vote, I've been thinking more about how our union must be in bed with the company, and what incentives they have for trying to convince us to vote yes on this.

Look no further than the MEC council

I just watched the MESA MEC presentation on FB. They say they made no concessions; the whole thing is concessions! You get 50% DH pay and that is what they are touting! You get a whole 3% 401K match! They pay for KCM!?

Expressjet gets 100% DH, 6% 401K match, up to a limit, and KCM! We also have a defined contribution, excellent healthcare with a 3500 yearly out of pocket max, $20-30 copay, at <$450/mo per family. and 4 hrs airport reserve, for which we are paid 4 hours. Cheaper healthcare plans are offered too. We have min pay days and trips and 100% cancellation pay. Pay is calculated block or better.

You guys can do better; demand better. Keep the pressure on the majors and force them to pony up or give up the FFD. Don't let regional careerists sell you out! If you and RAH hold the line, they have no choice.

Our former MEC tried to force a crap contract down our throats too--one that was still much better than what they are trying to defraud you with, we voted overwhelmingly no and cleaned the ALPA house. The management angrily resigned WITHOUT bonus. I guarantee you if this goes through, all of the board members are going to get a huge bonus while laughing in your face.

That's hilarious--I've already received some pretty blunt phone calls/voicemails/e-mails from old friends at Delta/United/FedEx/JetBlue basically asking me for the names of everyone who signed off on this deal, to try what they can to make sure they never set foot on property at their employers (not that that's a big threat considering the massive size of those ALPA carriers).

All I'm saying is this industry is small--smaller than medicine, academia, or most levels of politics--put your name on something like this and you go into the history books. People don't forget--especially the ones who came from your regional or ones who faced downgrades/worse conditions because of your regional's voluntary concessions.

Signing your name on a TA like this isn't a wise move for someone who wants to get hired elsewhere, unless by "elsewhere" you mean MAG management/flight ops. How many MAG MEC chairs from the last 20 years have left Mesa? Angelo?

After about a decade as a 121 pilot, I don't understand why anyone with real intentions of moving on to the legacies would publicly put their name on this concessionary TA--if you can explain it to me, I'm all ears. I'm being open and honest here--not confrontational--are there more jets or a flow or something or why would anyone wanting to leave Mesa sign off on this?

I just stopped by this thread. Mesa asking for concessions? How much lower can you go? Do you pay them to fly?

The raises are either nil or negligible, so it's concessionary in that 15 plus years with no real raise in pay is losing money vs inflation. Also the reserve language gets rid of seniority and CMF/CML and instead uses time balancing, ensuring people won't break guarantee, or not fly when they don't want to and when their seniority can hold it.

We get rid of 50 seat base pay and we get KCM paid for. But the laundry list of things we still don't have, and the lack of financial improvements, make this an absolute no brainier no vote.
