With this TA, the only time CMF/CML will ever apply is in the extremely (impossibly) rare event that there are two pilots with the same amount of block for the month who both have equal availability, and are both legal to do the assignment--that is the only time our seniority and our preference to fly or not fly will ever be taken into consideration. This includes Long-Calls.

The reserve section is a huge concession in QOL, as it essentially takes seniority completely out of picture when it comes to who gets what from open time. It provides the company with a callout priority system in which they minimize the chances of anyone ever breaking guarantee or timing out, seniority be damned.
When I read section G.l., I don't read it as only on days off. I'll get clarification tomorrow if it's only for off days.
Also, I was joking about the KCM...

Oh I see what you're saying--you can pickup if it's green on all of the days you're trying to pickup.

Why don't they release the full language of the contract so we can ask informed questions during the road shows. The way the summery reads it looks like the company can still arbitrarily set buffers. This basically will negate all the improved language in the scheduling section. Long call can be escalated to short call any number of times. Pay doesn't even keep up with inflation, so that is pretty much a 3%-4% pay cut each year. No language on PBS unstacking. Might as well just go back to paper bidding in that case and let the company build the schedules they want. No trip rigs, no duty rigs, no improvement in DH, and I have herd no information about any changes to the insurance which is so high that an FO with a family would only take home $300 a month if they take the insurance. I rather see them take their chances with mediation.

It was emailed out a few days ago. Summary: it's bad and full of loopholes/vagueness, no real raise (20-27 cents for FOs, no raise for the captains except they blend 700/900 pay rates over a 5 year period. Ha.). Oh and 50 seat base pay is gone. Reserve is hours based now and CMF/CML is effectively out the window. There...saved you the trouble reading it.

You're not reaching. We deserve 12 days off on RSV, period.

I get there is no money, (and if there IS money, they know how to hide it and so for all intensive purposes it's not there) and with that said I wasn't expecting Compass CA payrates. But little things like 12 days off, $1.75 perdiem, 75% deadhead pay were little things needed that would get this anywhere near a 51% yes vote.

Clearly the company is not serious at this point.

I think they know that as soon as they announce new planes/announce a hiring bonus they'll be able to fill the right seat for the foreseeable future.

These new pay rates are so pitiful. 1% gains over 5 years. In the year 2020, first year FOs will still be making $22/hour. Meanwhile, burger flippers will be making $15/hour. If they put in 40 hours a week, they'll be making more than a friggin airline pilot.

I think what is more offensive than JO offering up that pile of crap is the fact that the MEC okayed it and reccomends you vote for it. Seriously, Brian Richardson must've been fellating JO while asking for raises for the top of the payscale and not a cent for the bottom.

Have had some contact with Brian Richardson, not impressed, comes across as a push over when dealing with the company.

Marcin K. on the other hand WAS someone to have in your corner
when dealing with the company. Fire tempered and knew his stuff.
