Considering I got hired right before one of the worst economic crashes this country has ever seen and have never been furloughed, I'm doing alright. Plus I'll be over at AA relatively soon with a 30 plus year career over there if I want. I'd say I'm doing justttt fine
The point is, you went to Mesa...the biggest and most well-known bottom feeder out there. So quit your beaching, you knew what you signed up for.

Let's not forget that the flow that is occurring now between Envoy and AA is not because AAG is such a great company. It's because an arbitrator slapped a settlement on AAG that said they would flow 824 eaglvoy pilots to AA. Let's see what happens after that settlement is honored and they hit the magic 824. I would bet the flow will either stop completely or slow to a trickle after that. Does anyone think Doug Parker is going to park new E-175s to honor a labor contract and flow pilots to AA when Envoy has trouble getting pilots now and will probably be harder in the future?
Here's an article from the Dallas Morning News concerning the flow agreement.

A little excerpt from the article.
7. "Once 824 Eagle pilots have transferred to AA under the provisions of paragraph 6 above, AA will not be obligated to transfer any additional pilots to AA."

The reactions my friends at Envoy give me every time I mention 2.5 / 6, says it all. The Envoy FO's who came to Mesa and are now CA's here, have said it all. Funny thing, as VanDriver has said with us, all of my friends at Envoy went there because they were the only ones hiring or the first ones to say yes, not because they had the luxury to shop around! This "high and mighty" attitude of working for Envoy is a lie, the majority of pilots working there took the first offer they got. Just like every where else.
Holding out for the best offer in the regional world? Only brand new people today have that unusual luxury.

165 FO's in DFW alone and about 70ish of them are on reserve... So you do the math hey at least I have some people below me. But you can get DFW pretty much before you get to IOE BUT I don't think you will be flying as much as you would say in IAD just my two cents

He will not park the 175s, he would probably keep outsourcing to Mesa and park the 145s. They only need 400 pilots to keep the 175s flying, 300 of them are not going anywhere (retiring at envoy).
Get your facts straight, the arbitrator didn't slapped AAG, he slapped AMR. Two different management, two different comoanies.

How many hours a month are you 175 captains getting on reserve? Also, anyone know how long the 175 upgrade training footprint is right now?
Thanks fellas!

Are you upgrading from the right seat in the 175 or coming from the right seat of the CRJ? Training footprint is quite different.
