I had a great trip with that CA, despite hearing all about her beforehand. Yeah, it took a little more effort than flying with the average CA, but she did have a lot of wisdom and experience to pass on. And the way she runs a checklist, I doubt she'll ever miss any details. Very safe pilot.
This is what nightmares are made of.

Megan's been on her way out of Mesa for like 2+ years. She does a fantastic job wherever they put her i.e. tracking->training dept. btw she's part time. You would've thought they'd all have bailed by now with the recent workload increase of the last 2.5yrs and complete lack of commensurate compensation.

The MEC will be holding its regularly scheduled Spring MEC Meeting from March 8-10, 2016, in Phoenix at the MAG MEC offices. In addition to regular business, we will be electing new MEC officers for two-year terms, beginning March 12, 2016... If you’d like to join us, please bid accordingly.

The new MEC Chairman is voted on by the MEC. If you want someone in particular, and they want the position, tell your rep.

Mesa info.
Sorry to interrupt ongoing conversations. I'm contemplating 3 regionals right now, with Mesa being one of them. I keep hearing much more negative stuff about Mesa though, which concerns me. I realize the pay is lower. But, other than that, is it really any different (worse) at Mesa? I heard similar trashing of Republic even though a few guys I know who went over there love it. For a few reasons other than pay (for example nearby bases and travel benefits on both AA and UA), Mesa has some nice plusses for me. I realize that the only way to truly find out what working at Mesa is like is to hear it directly from those who do work there. While I appreciate everyone's opinion, I'm mostly interested in hearing only from the Mesa guys/gals on this one. Feel free to PM me if you prefer to keep it private.
Also, I've heard that a new pilot contract is under negotiation. Is that correct? And, if so, what is in it and what are the proposed pay levels for a new FO? Thanks everyone.

I sent you a PM. To answer your question about negotiations, we turned down a TA in September that had a 1% pay raise for FOs. There have not been any negotiations since then, so there's no proposal currently on the table. If there was, the regular line pilot wouldn't know about it anyway until it's voted on and approved by the union leaders.
