"if the company extends"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those are the key words to look for guys!!!!!!!

This will never happen. Be careful reading this increase its what they call a teaser clause. Something they put in the contract that they never intend to use. Just like "in the best interest of the company" or "at company's discretion". Those of you who have been at Mesa know what I mean from the last contract language and why if you leave it up to Mesa you didn't get anything.

So that leaves to be said, why would Mesa extend it by a year and pay 5 percent more, when they could just go into negotiations that will probably take 5-6 years anyway for 5 percent less for every single year they can stall. We just had a 2 year contract that took 5 years of negotiations to get this. Total of 7 years guys that Mesa had at the current pay rates. Mesa won't even give us a 5 percent increase initially for this 5 year contract! No way Mesa extends it for just another year for a 5 percent rate hike only to go into negotiations and then have to pay the new 5 percent rates while negotiations are taking place! That would be insane on Mesa's part. Its a teaser clause. Of course Mesa will agree to the option just to sell this current contract but they won't actually do it.
How about a 5 percent raise at the end of the contract clause with no catch...

This TA is barely a new contract. It never should have passed to be put out to vote on.

For the most part things the company should be doing anyway. They aren't serious about recruiting more people. I'll wait until I make my final decision but my stock is heavily going towards a no right now.

Email says the NC managed to capture $14.7 mil over 5 years for the pilots, which is a little less than $3 mil a year, or about $2500 a year per pilot if spread evenly across the pilot group (which it isn't). Not sure how they valued each item on there (it isn't all/much at all in financial gains), but no matter how you spin it our gains are pretty bad.

And, adjusting for inflation over the last decade and into the next 5 years, we will have taken about a 3% pay cut annually for a 15 year period, probably longer.

Also, I'm guessing the top 5 execs make at least that same $3mil a year combined, between salary and bonus. Wouldn't surprise me if at least a couple of them made that or more themselves annually while we are on poverty wages.

Doesn't JO need the company to settle labor negotiations to be able to get more planes and in order go public? How about he offers something that isn't insulting and we can help him out with that.

Once the music stops, which it has pretty much for newhires now, and word gets out about actual upgrade times a year from now, how are we going to staff? He doesn't see it because he still fills classes with no bonus or any other incentive besides a quick upgrade.

This new TA is also set to expire as our contracts are expiring...
How much you want to bet we will be told, "You need to take concessions to secure an extension to our contracts."
And there are concessions in this new TA, training contracts going from 10,000 to 13,000$, no doubt to stem the flow of new hires who stick around for a couple of months and then leave.
I personally would benefit more from this than others, but it would be very short term gains. Heavily leaning NO on this one.

This contract is a Fuc******* joke. NO. NO. NO.

I dont care. Burn it down. Let it die. 1%? Hah.

How about we quit flying for you and JO gets 0%.

Not that we actually thought it would be anything other than this but still. If it isnt a 90% no vote ill be suprised. Its a slap in the face. The cherry on the top for me is KCM lol

What's the upgrade time for a guy hired with zero 121 time today? What about six months ago?
