Wow...I would like to say I'm amazed. But this is Mesa we are talking about. Let him know there are plenty of Regionals around here to choose from.

And about that amount have resigned in the last 6-7 weeks and attrition is picking up. There are 2 sides to this equation. For successful growth, hiring (and getting people through training successfully) has to outpace attrition.
A Mesa Capt. just told me that virtually every FO he flies with is putting apps out for a lateral move. Why wouldn't they with the incentives out there for type-rated FO's?

1) People close to upgrade, and/or
2) People who live in Houston
The primary reason for leaving that I'm hearing from new hires isn't even pay--they want those flow agreements at places like Envoy/PDT. I can't blame them--that's built-in progression and job security as AA retirements skyrocket in the next 10-15 years.

This is pretty much what I'm seeing--the only FOs planning on sticking around are:
1) People close to upgrade, and/or
2) People who live in Houston

Didn't a Mesa captain leave for a regional with flow?

Except for the last FO who I just flew with(fresh off IOE) every single one of the previous 4 were leaving and already had a job lined up, from corporate to charter, to other regionals. Even the guy off IOE was talking about going to a Charter op in a few months.
