So AH is our MEC Chairman, again? Terrific.

"The MEC will meet again in March for the Spring meeting to elect a full slate of MEC officers for a new two-year term." At what point does the pilot group vote for the officers, or do they vote themselves in ad infinitum?

Since I am new to all this does that mean that negotiations won't resume until after the MEC elections in the Spring?

Not necessarily. It has to be scheduled 135 to count.

We vote for lec reps. Lec reps elect the chairs.

If you are referring to FAR 121.436(a)(3) which then refers to 135.243(a)(1) then the above quote is incorret. You will still need to have 1000 sic 121

Refer to the Kelley letter response #2 for 135 cargo operations (whether scheduled or unscheduled)

Hmm. That's where that fishy smell is coming from.

Not sure but I think he was talking about the pilots skill level coming from single pilot ifr ops, not their legality.

Not only does it have to be scheduled, it has to be a passenger carrying operation.

I meant 1000 hours with Mesa. If you can do single pilot IFR, you are ready to be a CA.

Way more to being a captain than flying skills.
