United and Commutair are going to attempt to do an aircraft reshuffle with a half-ass flow and small wage increases during a pilot shortage. It's a bold strategy, Cotton, let's see if it pays off for them.

I think they staff the first 10 great with high time FOS from other airlines looking for a quick upgrade. As classes shrink, they park the Dashes at an accelerated rate to staff another 15.

Do you use this type of sentence structure on your cover letters, too?
It has been quite some time since I wrote a paper or needed a cover letter. I thought this forum was casual. I see we still have grammar nazis in the world so I will be sure to use spell check and a English tutor before I submit a reply

One thing that never gets talked about, at a regional, is how management treats you. Right now, and since I've been here, have had a great working relationship. They are not pricks to us, the training department is common sense and not dicks, everyone is nice to the pilot group. The only hostility comes in the form of willingness to negotiate a better compensation and benefits package. Again, I'm not worried, they will do something when they have to, to keep the doors open.
I agree with you on this the only issue I have is finances. Management and training are great. Before anyone else butts in yes I've been around the block once or twice.

You have to really be naive, or just another SkyWest dumb@ss if you really think money is the only important thing. Do any regional pilots get paid what they should? No.

Kind of a cryptic email from CC to the DFW pilots this afternoon.

I feel like there's a specific event this spurred this on...

I agree, but what "specific event"? I haven't heard of anything.

I dunno, but the "FO's respect your captains" bit sounds like there's a good story behind it.
