My source in training says only 9 people showed up to training last class "FACT".

And how many people left? My global number only gets smaller when another CA leaves, and well... A lot of guys are leaving! Also, it seams Mesa can never get above 1200 pilots, and I will not be surprised when the most junior person is only 950 to 1000

Only if Mesa can staff them. Regardless of the agreement that gets signed.
If pilots aren't given a reason to join Mesa, then there is nobody to fly the planes. So the planes will not come. Growth ends.
Do you see how the former model of recruiting will no longer work?

I think many will jump.
I mean, 2nd year YV pay is less than 1st year OO pay and OO gives you a bonus for being type rated.
Hell even GoJet 1st year pay plus $15k bonus is more than YV 2nd year.
Or Trans States with better contract and a bonus; same with Compass. Better pay and an additional type rating and signing bonus.
YV needs to come up with something quick or they'll lose pilots right and left.

I've talked to several FOs who plan on jumping ship for Skywest/Compass if all the EJets go to Houston--simple calculation of pay + upgrade expectation + not having a 3-4 hour commute to where they want to live. I'm kind of shocked that anyone with less than a year on property, who lives anywhere west of El Paso/Denver is still here.

Mesa is about to have a HUGE staffing problem. People would be foolish to go to Mesa with their current pay!
