Agreed we were getting the aircraft...but we're buying more of them than originally planned. UAL was going to buy some of them.

Lol yea so even though we suck and don't do anything you better pay us your money or we will make sure you are fired! But given APLAs track record of getting anything done could take a few years before they even notice.

The latest roster has a guy (MP) in the nov 17 ejet upgrade class. The latest seniority list (just updated) shows him and another summer '14 hire as "0" on the global seniority, indicative of a resignation. Anyone know the story? Curious if they are moving up or sideways. Can't imagine walking away from starting captain upgrade to go sit at the bottom of another regional's seniority list.

Good point, agency shop doesn't relieve all obligation to ALPA, just some.

You haven't even gotten off probation. How about when you get off probation you volunteer for a committee or maybe run for an elected position, and then feel free to complain about ALPA. Folks like flapshalfspeed have every to their opinion because they've at least had the time to experience the nonsense. You've seen one $hit TA at a $hit company and haven't done a thing for the profession except participate on an anonymous forum. Sorry, but your opinion of ALPA has no basis other than what you've read on here/heard from folks you've flown with/crew room gossip.

Lol so because I haven't "been here long enough" for your satisfaction I can't have a bad opinion on ALPA. Makes sense. You sir don't even know the extent of my dealings with ALPA besides the fact that we got a complete joke of a TA. Even then that should be enough for anyone here to have a bad opinion of APLA regardless of how long they have been here. Just because your wife works here doesn't mean you can come in here and start talking down to people for having an opinion.

You're right I don't know about your "dealings", however, I do know that you are still an apprentice member and haven't done jack squat for the profession, unless banging away on a keyboard counts. My point is, before launching an opinion that ALPA sucks with no volunteer experience, etc is a joke. You guys get a lot more out of ALPA than you put in, the regional system is the part that sucks. How about stepping up when you get off probation before sounding off like an old salty vet.
