New Mesa Thread

Most new hires I fly with aren't washouts but were very junior (6-12 months online) FOs at stagnant companies (RAH, XJT, Eagle) and saw no future there, usually live in one of our bases; so they saw the quick upgrade and being home based as a big plus.

I know of at least 3-4 Mesa washouts now at XJet/Skywest/PSA. It's a two-way street and everyone needs bodies.

Thanks, that's actually kind of funny because I heard Mesa FO's are leaving for SkyWest, Compass...etc. Don't really understand why people keep leaving one for another.

Because that's the whole point of the whipsaw that management keeps propagating. The flying intentionally gets shifted between regionals with the hope that guys/gals will jump ship and start over at the next flavor of the week on year one pay. Keeps overhead low and lines the pockets of those you and I will most likely never meet.

Brian did the classy thing by bowing out, but did we really need another lecture from him in that email? I would have figured by now that these guys would learn that patronizing us and lecturing in every email is getting old. You are stepping down because you couldn't recognize the pilot groups long term goals, so why are you still telling us that getting rid of this MEC will only hurt our goals. Its time to stop protecting guys like AH, and get some fresh faces in place.

The tone of that email should simply embolden anyone seeking to clean house in this ALPA chapter. We an MEC that actually represents the majority of the pilot group.

Well the tone for the last 6 months has been compleatly wrong. Making excuses left and right for the company, talking down to the pilots, so on and so on. No other alpa carrier has had this bad of a tone ever. Just because you have a lot of time and work put in a contract does not mean you defend a bad ta
