Any idea what the upgrade time is currently? I may be heading back to the 121 world soon.

If you have prior 121 and you want the CRJ pretty quick - probably <6 months. For the E Jet I'd plan 2-3 years.

Considering we're doing the jobs of major airlines, we should be paid as such.
So, collectively we have a long way to go. All of us. You are in no better position to fixing this industry because you may make a couple extra thousand per year. That's not impressive, it's not cool, no one looks up to you. If something like that really makes you feel like you are better than someone else, then you were seriously misguided as a child. Grow up. Some of you need a serious reality check.
I make almost $10k more at year 3 CA as was the example earlier. And that's just our 50 seat rate. And I'm not saying how much better I am than you. Stop taking it personally. I'm making a point. You have a contract that just TA. If you can't bring it up to average it should be a no vote. You're in a position now to improve the garbage wages we work for. So do your part and I promise I'll do mine.

How does the 2-3yr on the Ejet change if more come online? Anyone heard a time frame on that announcement by the way?

I've heard if you go to Mesa, current Ejet FOs (for the most part) are waiting out an upgrade in the ejet instead of jumping to the CRJ. So that puts the upgrade wait to 24mths. If you want to go to CRJ it is pretty quick on upgrade. As stated previously <6 months. I have about 700 hrs 121 so I'm hoping to get in and upgrade quick. Wherever I can hold a CA spot. Good luck on the decision!

Problem? Another pilot group at a different regional, their problems are their own. Our problems at Mesa are our own. I will always do what is best for my family, and myself, not another pilot group.
I suggest you do the same for yourself, and never make a decision that has to rely on another pilot group to do the right thing, because they won't.
All this talk about a pilot shortage, and supply and demand? The great thing about that, is that it requires no input from us to work in our favor. Now, when you try to rush it... That's when it blows up in your face.
You can argue until your blue in the face, it's not going to change anything.

You make an excellent point. Maybe after we bring our wages up the regional industry can focus on eliminating parent companies with multiple regional alter egos created for the sole purpose of whip sawing one another.
