Im on the list of "bailing" next month to compass. I enjoyed the mesa wave and all the great stories from senior CAs but other carriers have so much more to offer right now.

I considered this move too. After speaking with a few friends who are huge advocates for compass, the reality is now they have so many FO's who are now eligible for upgrade, a new hire won't see one for a couple years at least, and it will be purely based on attrition.
Not to mention, Compass will most likely lose their American flying out of LAX to Envoy as soon as their 175 program is up.
I don't get why people would come to Mesa, spend a short time here and bail. Why wouldn't you have just skipped Mesa in the first place?

If you're trying to chase another upgrade you're better off here where you've accrued seniority. Compass had to bypass A LOT of FO's already on property for upgrade who just didn't have the time required.

Not chasing the upgrade wave, just chasing a better company and better pay. Lets face it, we all know why we came to Mesa, chasing fast upgrade and for most if not all, easy "interview". I have enjoyed the people at mesa but I don't enjoy being paid the lowest and having the worst contract out there and horrible health benefits. If it takes a couple years to upgrade at compass or they loose the american flying then so be it. None of us have a crystal ball to see or predict what the future holds for any airline and at this point, its a roll of the dice to go to any airline.

Insuring a full family on Mesa's health insurance? You'd be better off financially working part-time at Starbucks--not exaggerating at all. For the entire time you're on the FO payscale you would net more take-home pay working 20-30 hours per week at Starbucks on their health insurance plan.
