It sounds to me like Skywest has solved the puzzle so to speak. Pay newhires a good wage, nice bases and adding airplanes. Prefect for someone who needs 1,000sic anyway? At least the way I'm understating it? I see these other places with low wages like compass and Mesa having issues attracting new talent since the quick upgrade is a thing of the past. Does anyone else see it like this?

Back when I was a new hire at Shuttle America while riding the van to the hotel, after saying something negative about a typical RAH schedule change, (daily reassignent, 8 hour unscheduled overnight) this Skywest FO turned to me and said, "Why don't you come over to mainline?" I laughed and after he just stared at me, I realized this guy was 100% serious. That superiority complex has pretty much been the description of all but a handful of Skywest pilots I have come into contact with over the years. All I do now is laugh to myself and avoid conversation.
