Yep, without a doubt Mesa has the worst contract besides Republic. Hopefully we can get at least an above industry average contract signed this year. I'm happy with the new aircraft but I don't want to take any flying from say "Eagle" because of our lower wages. I'm a downgrade and it's been a tough 4 years, looking forward to getting back into the left seat. If anymore flying is awarded to us do to other regionals standing up for their QOL I truly hope we cannot staff them. But as the year rolls on and our contract talks heat up I will stand beside the Eagle and XJ guys and vote no for any contract that is less than above average. Mesa has always been at the bottom as far as the pay and QOL. Hopefully management has learned from their mistakes in the past or it might be deja vu all over again.

And to stop some of the regional finger pointing, XJT got that United contract because of a lower bid than Mesa and operate at a loss. Skywest got the Airways flying by a lower bid and operate to cover the leases of the aircraft at a loss. If we should finger point, point it at the mainline carriers, they are the ones that force regionals to operate at an unprofitable margin. Mainline scope allowed the regionals to grow, then they got selfish looking for the cheapest contract possible with no appreciation of good service. The same mainline carriers that we all want to fly for are the cause of the problem. So instead of finger pointing we should stand a little more in unity. If everyone is so tough and my regional is better than your regional why don't we all put a embargo on working for the mainline carriers because they are the root cause of this. Yep, that's what I thought, when you get the call you will jump like a snake ran up your pants.

Your the dude we ditch on overnights because your like an annoying mosquito. Now it's time to go annoy people on the legacy forums. Goodbye Mosquito,,

This reply only would have been fine. Not the smartass post before that. Yes, everyone has their reasons for not leaving yet, mine is I don't want to work for Doug Parker now that he has taken over AA. Doug likes airport appreciation time and 12/13 days off is the norm. So until United or Delta start ramping up I'm stuck.

I wish all you Mesa guys the very best. I hope everything works out for you and that the expansion of your airline results in better work rules and a better contract for you. I'll be watching along with everyone else!
