How was it mentioned?

There's a strong chance that we will get some of the remaining 40.

Given that we are awarded any of those 40 aircraft MIA is a strong possibility.
You're not getting AA E175's now or later.

Never were.

Something ain't right.

Word I got was AAG is threatening to send 20 planes to Mesa if Eagle MEC voted no. Supposedly had an agreement ready to be signed.

So, what's the real Mesa staffing story; could Mesa staff 20 more jets that don't arrive until March next year?

Just wondering where the truth lays. Yeah, I was wrong about which, but it was 20, and it was a non-owned. Nobody's perfect. The original question is still unanswered all these pages later

I happened upon an old Mesa thread from 2007, and it sounds like the interview process hasn't actually changed much since then. The poster mentioned that her job fair interview was nothing more than a one sided sales pitch. If that's the case, the whole phone interview thing is just typical Mesa rather than a desperate hiring push.

I guess that goes along with the story that they hired someone over the phone who was in a wheelchair now due to an accident.Dont know if there is any truth to any of it,but if it was true,it would have been a pie in somebodys face if the wheelchair guy actually showed up for class.!!!
