Default Mesa Hiring

Thinking of bidding Dulles. With the same number of days off I could have a line with 20 more hours.

There's a strong chance that we will get some of the remaining 40.

Given that we are awarded any of those 40 aircraft MIA is a strong possibility.
When asked about the American E175, JO SAID, "we are in discussions with them regarding other aircraft." That sounds like you aren't even interested in any of the 40.

Mesa did not bid for the AAG 175 flying. Something might be on the works behind the doors at Envoy.

Here is the quote with previous sentence included to add context:

"Mesa Airlines, who is prepping to introduce the first of 30 E175s with United Airlines in June, is also interested.

“We are in discussions with them regarding some other aircraft,” says Jonathan Ornstein, chief executive of Phoenix-based Mesa, following questions on whether they were bidding on the E175 contract."

His answer is deliberately vague and I guess you could take it to mean a lot of things but nowhere does he say Mesa didn't submit a bid.

By the end of the year, envoy will be the envy of most of the remaining regionals.

If I ask you if you're ordering pizza tonight and you say, "I'm in discussions regarding some other food", does that mean you're getting pizza? Is that vague?

Maybe you can post that in a few more forums.

I read it to mean other aircraft in addition to the ones they've already been awarded.
