You are so blind. Regardless of Mesa's vote the regional airline business will continue the way it has. It's not gonna change because of 1 or 2 pilot groups voting no. If you really want change you would have to organize and withhold all potential new hires to not apply until change happens. Guess what, that won't happen. So, you can continue to come on Mesa's thread and post what you want about Mesa accepting an inferior contract. You are an outsider expecting an entire different pilot group to stand up to the Regional airline monster that it is. Maybe you should volunteer at ALPA and see how difficult it is to get all the pilot groups to agree. Have a nice day.

I just think it is foolish for so many people on here to be saying "I'm voting yes" without even having seen the contract. Nordo just came on here and complained about the terrible language in the contract and then gets mad at us for pointing out that everyone on here is saying YES without actually reading anything about it. I don't really care that I'm not a Mesa pilot. I have 3 friends who are. I know what you have to go through...not that it matters anyways because this is a public message board and I'm allowed to have opinions. I will continue to share my opinions on this and any other board I like. If you don't like it, please, by all means, make your own.
Where did I complain about "terrible language"? I haven't seen the contract but the email from our MEC discussed things that are improved, and those are what I was talking about.
I said that if the QOL improvements were as good as what the MEC has alluded to, then I'm a yes vote. That's it. It's incremental, but since you don't work here you don't know how huge that really is. Sorry if we don't measure up to your expectations, I really am.
I'm thrilled that you have three friends at Mesa, gosh. They're so lucky to have friend like you!

I am by no means a Mesa cheerleader. Read some of my earlier posts and you'll see.
I cannot prove to you who i am on a public forum nor can you prove who you are. Let's just leave it at that. For someone who has just joined this thread and posts accusations and lies is ridiculously false.
YOU SOUND LIKE ONE OF THE NEW HIRES WHO FAILED OUT!!!
You come on here blaming everyone else for your own shortcomings. Get over it and yourself. Time for some self evaluation. Or you just don't have what it takes to be an ATP. Again I ask you just to move on.

I don't know what you know about RAH and their contract, but I have to figure that you're about as knowledgeable about their situation as you are about Mesa's. Please feel free to comment all you want, but just realize that no one really assigns much credibility to anything you are saying about us. Yeah, you love to say Mesa is sub-par, and you don't work here so why do you care? You're not going to change the Regional Industry by being Captain (or First Officer) Obvious, you know that, right?

"? Do you get JRA'd at the drop of a hat? Do you look at your reserve buffers and see that they're set to some arbitrarily high number by someone who doesn't know a tiller from a shoehorn?"
Is that complaining about contract language or praising it? Now I'm confused because you said that you said you didn't complain about your language. Must have a short memory. Could you repeat that frequency for Air Shuttle?
I REALLY don't care what you or a single other person on this site thinks of me. I'm not out here to win a popularity contest. I'm out here sharing my opinions. If you don't like what I have to say, then by all means ignore me. That doesn't mean I'm going to stop. I'm not sorry you're offended by truth and opinion. Maybe grow a thick skin and try counter my arguments with logical reasoning and not just pointing out how I don't work at Mesa, don't know the struggle and other childish insults. Try that. I'll be the first to admit that I was wrong about something.

this sounds like the guy who has been dubbed "the worst new hire in mesa history", you know, the guy who ****ed in a popcorn bag and threw it out the window of a 172(or at least tried before it exploded all over him). They called him Popcorn Jones, but really his name was Mike something or other. Dude was more full of **** than a xmas tree according to all the people he talked to, from new hires to 10 year captains. Had an excuse for everything. Failed just about every stage of training, including FPT twice before he got sent home. Then of course came back whining, saying "I dunno why they let me go, things were going fine". right buddy...talk about delusional. Dudes a legend now tho, so thats gotta be worth something. I heard theres been some super sharp guys who went through training recently, but apparently some real works of art too. Mesa knows the deal, and knows what they are working with. If you have the right attitude, and work hard, you can earn your wings. Key word, earn. No handouts here. The guys who think its a free ride, fail out. Then of course have nothing but excuses and complaints. Gotta say tho, im seeing less of the Popcorn's in the new classes and better guys by the day.

I can promise you I know more about what was contained within the RAH contract than you do.

Ah, Reading is Fundamental. Go reread what I wrote. I was talking about our current contract, the new one is apparently supposed to rectify those and other things; JRAs, reserve buffers and such. Apparently I needed to spell that out for you. RIF.

Here's a question to the initial "no" voters. What items in the TA would be automatic no votes? I'm not talking about general statements like "needs to be industry standard" or "need a decent pay raise." We all know we won't get much in the way of money. JO and the union have said as much. What else is vitally important that would cause you to vote no? Is the lack of a duty/trip rig a deal killer? I've heard several say that alone is enough for them to vote no. Any other items that people feel strongly about?

You just don't get it!
United's profits not Mesa.
We do not have the leverage that mainline pilot's have in contract negotiations.
JO will cash out and shut the doors in 5-10 years if he can't staff flying.
