All jokes aside you guys have no sense of humor.
Also, this just in, Skillett's grammer is still an abomination.

I hate to agree with these guys who are saying that this is as good as it's going to get, but I am afraid they are right. We could all walk off the job tomorrow and it won't change what money is available. Mesa is in no position to go back to its Legacy partners to ask for more money, and we will be lucky to keep the flying we have if our performance doesn't improve with American. The only hope the company has to improve revenue is to be awarded more flying. The only way to do that is to be cheep and shore up its labor contracts. The group can vote down the contract but I doubt it will get released from the NMB to strike. So the other option is to all quit or have an illegal job action which is not recommended for anyone who doesn't want to pay the price. Besides there are plenty of other FFD airlines hungry for the flying. This vote really effects the people who have decided to make a career out of Mesa. Any new pilots can leave today and have much better pay and QOL at many different regionals. If quick upgrades end, or there are downgrades there will be a mass exodus of anyone who doesn't have significant time investment in this place.

Agreed. However, we have doubled in size since we started growing again so half are new. There are enough newbies who are all yes voters to make this thing pass easy. I mean just read these threads. These guys are voting yes before even looking at it. They need growth. Mesa has to be cheap so we can steal the flying from other regionals. Remember, Mesa promised them a quick upgrade. That is gold. Wait, isn't the price of gold plummeting?

I have no problem with wanting industry average. I just don't see the point in a 10 year battle only to no get it. As far as the "thousands of other qualified regional pilots" out there stuck at the regionals I am hesitant to say they are qualified. As an example a buddy of mine who has been in the right seat at Envoy for 3 years just got hired with Frontier with all SIC 121 time, and no he is not a woman or black. Another friend spent 2 years at compass before being picked up by Spirit and after 4 years there he has already upgraded. So either all of these "qualified" applicants out there have some sort of smudge on their record, or are just holding out for a legacy job. I would rather hold out for a legacy job at a major than the crap hole that is the regionals.
Wow, just wow. Glad you know your stuff.
