I think what happens during AQP is largely dependent on who your sim instructor is. Some people take certain things much more seriously than others. We all know who the laid back instructors are, and we quickly find out which ones are not.
Bottom line, 6 months down the road after your initial check ride, you come into AQP, you should be at your sharpest because of recency of experience. Yes, it is a huge red flag if you can't do the basic stuff, and know your call outs.
I'll also say that I don't believe World Travel is lying. I believe he is being perfectly honest with the information given to him by his friend. Problem is, it is one sided, biased information. I believe World Travel's intentions are to help the new guys, not spread lies.

Which regional airline is the best? Let me answer that for you. NONE! I read the thread on all the regionals. I only comment on the one I work for because that's the only one I have direct knowledge of at this time.
Read the other airline threads. Not all great over there either. So don't come at me with "Mesa's name ain't the best out there" garbage. Because they all stink.

Well he needs to invest in a new internal truth/lie detector then

Ahhh how refreshing....another non-Mesa employee showing up to confidently validate his vastly superior knowledge of a company he doesn't work for.

ill dub it the "mainline express." if you have a set of testicles (or labia 'cause we dont discriminate) between your legs then its time to climb aboard. the railway labor act only works if there are others to replace you...

added bonus: facebiter will finally have enough money for a real hobby to occupy his time elsewhere. no more free comedy here on APC, your'e welcome.

Agreed

When I was back at piedmont they hired to many pilots. For awhile after that they used the training department as a way to thin the heard and unfair unjust disciplinary action against pilots. Caused such bad blood that the relationship between pilots and training dept is to this day toxic at best. I wonder if Mesa has been hiring to many pilots. I have only flown 12 hours this month on reserve. 30 reserve pilots at Dfw seems a little fat.

Haven't heard from her since I told her I'm really the van driver at the Sleep Inn.

Yeah that's called an illegal work action and can end up with every pilot owing the company a big chunk of change. You are correct in your last sentence however, and the way we win is by convincing people to stop filling new hire classes. Unlawful work stoppages will only hurt our cause.
