What you describe is a very small minority--unless we're just talking airline pilot fathers. 😁

Also, those 3rd and 4th wives are most certainly Gen X'ers or part of the "baby boom echo" of the 1950s. Most boomer mothers stopped having kids in the late 1980s, which could account for only the earliest of millenial children. The baby boom itself refers to the glut of babies immediately post-WWII. The term applies to no one born in the 1960s.

By and large, parents of the vast majority of millenials were born in the 1960s or early 1970s.

All the current SKW planes in phx are leaving. The 900s are going into the delta system and the 200s are getting parked. All the current eagle 200s in LAX flown by SKW are coming to PHX to replace the current planes here. Net loss of 1 plane I think. Also, apparently, their 900s were never supposed to be here anyway, but I don't know the full story so I'll let a SKW guy chime in if they care to. Source: SKW buddy. Nothing to see here (and certainly not news...this has been discussed on the SKW thread for a while). Just more shuffling of flying with the merger.

This Gen X/Gen Y/millennial discussion is ridiculous. Some of you appear to not even know the correct timeframes associated with each generation. Whiners and lazy people have existed forever. People blaming younger generations for being worthless has occurred for a long time and will in the future. Let's get back on topic of Mesa and take the generational debate elsewhere...its wasting Internet electrons.

I second this. Other than some poor and biased observations, no one here is qualified to be making sweeping generalizations. How do you feel when a guy with 4 hours of flight time tells you "hey, I have a little flying experience and the ailerons on top of the wing looked like they broke when you landed." That's what you all sound like debating this.

The contract allowed Skywest to upsize at their descretion at 200 pay. There was never a 900 contract with Skywest.

Remember that one time that never happened when parents liked their kids clothes, music and work ethic?
Kids of the recession financial actually have their heads screwed on straight. Much like the young adults of the 70s are better hedged against inflation than other groups.
Or, just get off my lawn with the participation ribbon I made for you and all your friends.
