And it got shot down in a blaze of glory. That said, legacy negotiations and regional negotiations aren't very comparable. You're right though, I think you'd be hard pressed to find many pilots who think ALPA is looking out for regional pilots' best interests. Our own ALPA reps are well intentioned, but that's not enough. Why a regional ALPA, RALPA, hasn't been formed in the last 20 years is beyond me. There's a very clear conflict of interest between legacy and regional pilots, though at least scope doesn't seem to be for sale anymore.
Many of us would love to see the regional model burn, but unless we could escape the Railway Labor Act, that's most likely just wishful thinking. As is, sadly, getting out of the Railway Labor Act.

For captain upgrade, I'm told Mesa will waive, to an extent, the 2500 TT rule in the CBA for circumstances such as military time, etc. The only applicable thing I could find was "The provisions of E.1. above may be waived at the discretion of the Company..." Part 121 makes no mention of a 2500 TT rule. My circumstances would be 1000 hours military and 1000 hours at Mesa. Anyone have knowledge on this?

Email standing bid and ask if they are waiving the 2500 TT requirement.

The FARs don't require it, but Mesa does, at least as of last year. They say it can be waived but I think that's reserved for dire situations, like if they couldn't fill the left seat.

At company discretion is the key. They only waive things when they need it. Not when a pilot needs it. Don't count on it happening.

Wow, halfway through your Master's Degree? Which prestigious institution has failed to teach you the difference between "your" and "you're"?
P.S. Didn't even want to mention your sentence structure(or lack thereof).
