I wonder how many more fo's we are trying to hire. Well I guess we are always hiring due to attrition. But I guess I mean to be staffed adequately for the aircraft we will have once everything is delivered.

So if I refuse to take an extension on my FDP what are the repercussions?

The crew tracker told me if I refused to extend my FDP it would count as Fatigue occurence and I would be receiving a call from the chief pilot and I would have to fill out a fatigue report.

I also heard that that might be incorrect. Can anyone clue me in?

According to the FAA, the specific issue you are referring to is not within the purview of Part 117, it is an employer-employee relationship issue. The FAA does not require nor prohibit the company from treating an FDP extension refusal as a fatigue issue. So this would be something that would need to be addressed in the contract language.

Just tell them your fatigued. (If you are) If you have other prerogatives. That's between you and the company. If you fill out a fatigue report your covered.
