What is the topic on this Mesa thread that concerns you? There is nothing here of value to you other than arguments in which you to convince us that being a 10 year FO at skywest, with all your 50 seaters and props, is better than being a 2 year captain at Mesa. Clearly no one at Mesa agrees with you or we would have been working at skywest. And yes, the majority of us could have gone to skywest if we wanted, but for whatever reason, we chose Mesa.

Also, you asked previously what our PHX folks are going to do when CPZ takes over the LA flying. I'll respond with a question. What are PHX based SKW dudes going to do when you no longer have PHX as a base? I don't think you are in a very good position to start talking about us downsizing our PHX based operation. Even your own people know your PHX future is in doubt and say that on your thread.

But nonetheless, we will fly what AAG tells us to fly, as will you, and there isn't anything we can do about it. If that means our PHX base shrinks by 50%, that sucks for those who get caught on reserve for a while or choose to commute to DFW. If yours goes away...ouch.

If you look at the recent studies put out by the National ALPA it will show you that the MESA APC thread has had an significant increase of trolls in the last 2 days by 28%. The study also revealed that a shocking 98% of all info posted is subjective and that 105% of all pilots complain about their jobs daily. It also awarded Facebitten the most coveted creative resident troll award. And chided Sully as a sex offender.

Which part of Skywest the regional or mainline side? (you probably will not get it so let me say this is sarcasm) You guys are a joke with your attitudes. You fly the same metal in the same sky and think you are all better than the other regionals. Truth is you may have a bette contract but we are all in the same pool.....

Argument invalidated.
Attrition, currently losing 2 pilots a day. Upgrading 30 a month for the foresee able future and retirements haven't hit full steam yet. Do the math.

So how does it work? Mesa restructured under bankruptcy, parked all but 1 or 2 50 seaters, and is growing at a reasonable rate. Skywest has 161 CRJ-200 aircraft that are getting long in the tooth. You guys are already offering $7,500 to CL-65 type rated applicants that complete IOE at Skywest. What happens when Skywest can't fill classes and you guys are forced to cancel flights? I seem to remember this happening at XJT a year or so ago, how'd that pan out over there?

The 50 seater isn't in the long term plan for UAL, not sure about DAL or AAG. So with staffing issues at the regionals, mainline caring less and less about 50 seat feed, and the production line for 50 seat aircraft pretty much non-existent, I wonder how it is that you can sit there and criticize a pilot group for not "getting it" when half your fleet is made up of CRJ-200's. I don't care who you are, that's funny right there.

Honestly for anyone about to jump into this industry, the above is the most important thing you need to understand when choosing a regional in today's world.
