There are some exercises that can be done in your hotel room with no equipment. And even the crappiest hotel I've stayed at, had a basic, basic weight room with some Dumbbells and a treadmill. (Although I hate running. Flame away ahaha)

P90x videos? Eating is 90% of a six pack. And then it is also 90% of a keg! Choose wisely!

I had to include this!! Seriously funny title: http://youtu.be/WLmDkcb6JQE

Insanity is doable in a hotel room. (You might need to move some furniture.) It doesn't require any equipment and I find it to be a heck of a good workout.

Insanity is barely doable in anyplace ;p
At least for me!

Cuban Scenario:
¿Hola Mesa vuelo 2455, hacerte ver nuestro hermoso Aeropuerto? Autorizado para aterrizar. Cuidado con las baterías de misiles.

It's all a mindset, losing it is easy, keeping it off is the hard part.
I have to agree, as a pilot, or for that matter, any one who is looking for any kind of a job, in any field, if you are fat, you will be discriminated against. Yes, I am a big guy, but I lost most of my weight, I am a former shadow of myself.
I can speak from the perspective of both sides. Universally, by everyone around you, if you want to be treated with respect, you gotta lose the weight.
The snobs at Delta, United, or American are going to expect you to look like a nazi SS, hell, even most regionals who do more than a phone interview will expect it too.
Life's not fair, people are selfish jerks, and CEO's will take full advantage of you every step along the way.
At least YOU have control over your own self, and have the ability to change ones self. No one can take that away from you.
Even if Prior121 comes off as a jerk, he is simply vocalizing what everyone else is thinking, especially HR people.
Still have to disagree though about being a professional.
If some one is fat, they are not professional? What if they are fat and actively losing weight, changing their life for the better? Are they still not professional?

I know a few very overweight, very intelligent, successful people. There are professions where actions speak for themselves and most couldn't care less about the appearance of the person behind those actions (I believe RB211 is involved in one of those professions as a side gig). Unfortunately, in this job, we're sort of all the same, so I have to agree that HR probably weighs outward indicators such as appearance more heavily.

You know, if you go by BMI, most pilots would fall under "Overweight", if not "Obese." It was a topic of interest in the CLT crew room when the FAA announced plans for additional testing over a certain BMI. People did the math and just about everyone was butthurt! No one was normal range!
