Ha--I just deleted it. I don't have all the facts yet and need to make a couple phone calls--don't want to lead anyone in the wrong direction.

Here's the FAA AC on AQP programs if you're bored and really want to know all the details:

50-60% pass rate under AQP? Whoa nelly. You have to admit that's pretty crazy.

Not with the kinda new hires we are seeing.

I don't know if they're taking people with multiple busts, but the caliber of pilot is p*ss poor.

2nd career types. 1500 hours over the course of 20years types.

There are people online that slipped thru training, that, quite frankly from the stories I'm hearing have no place in an airliner.

So it's the non career older guys that are struggling?

Maybe if they start interviewing again, this will solve it.

Most of it is the regionals getting desperate and having to hire those based on the sole fact that they have ATP mins. Pilots who would've been passed up before are now being offered jobs, and Mesa seems to be the front runner in minimal screening of new hires.

Most of the newer guys I've met in PHX seem like a good group, but I can't speak for the other domiciles.

And our FAs...wow, just wow.

Not joking or flaming at all. if you're thinking about going to Mesa there's a 50% chance you'll leave with a part 121 training failure on your record. This is not normal. Initial training where I work sees a 95+% pass rate.

I'm sure the FAA is cracking down because they were just letting everyone bust their way through AQP.

Think about this.

hmm skywest?
