They're all still there. The other 20 or so are at Southwest, Delta, United, JetBlue, Atlas, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Spirit, Virgin America etc.

My advice, as someone who's made the move: get hired, take the first available upgrade, and get out as soon as you can. If that opportunity is likely to happen fastest at Mesa or Compass right now, then that's where I'd want to get hired today.

Good luck.
Again, same point I made above. Getting hired in 2002-2004 at a regional was the golden days of the regional jet industry. Tons of RJs were delivered while mainline 737-200s, classics, DC9s, F100s, 727s were parked. Guys started at a regional and with the explosive growth were able to upgrade very quickly, get their time, and get out. Those hired today at regionals should know the explosive growth at the regional level is mostly gone. Age 65 killed movement for anyone starting at a regional in 2007. No regional airline is getting 100+ airplanes like they were back in 2002-2003. Now they are all parking 50 seaters and some are "lucky" to get some 70/90 seaters to help as replacements.

Are your november lines showing any increase in long overnights?

CLT showing a lot of +30 hour overnights... making your 4 day worth 16-18 hours, or your 3 day much much less. Some of us figure they were eliminating the RR nights to gear up for 117, but we still have a handful of standups (my personal favorite).

IAD, ORD, PHX crews, thoughts?

Don't know about you but my dream wasn't to fly at a regional for 10 years.

80kts in every thread you pop in spouting your success story. I don't know how useful it is for the guy who won the lottery to tell everyone else to buy lottery tickets. Just because you hit the jackpot doesn't mean the majority of us will. I'm happy for your success, I really am. I just wish I didn't have to hear about it every day.

I do agree though, Eagle is not a great place to work. When I was applying to regionals only 2 had a LAX base and I applied to both. I was hired at Eagle first and Skywest called during ground school. I made a decision to stay at Eagle, was it a bad decision? In retrospect absolutely. If only we could change the past, of course then I wouldn't be a pilot at all.
You will likely rethink that position within the next few months and realize you made the best blind decision of your life and didn't even know it....

IF

The rumors I'm hearing from our union guys and from management friends are proven correct. You'll have career progression at Eagle that you'll never get elsewhere until other legacies copy AA.

Not seeing those in IAD. United trips seem to be staying "semi" productive

A PSA style contract must be voted in first.

Exact same thing in Phoenix. Out of 93 four day trips, 60 of them have 30+ hour layovers. And many of the three day trips have them too.

Not a single reduced rest overnight the whole month. A few just over 9 hours though.

I thought the same thing, a 117 sort of trial run, but union says it is because we got the schedules from mainline late.

I hope this isn't what 117 looks like. I can't stand wasting my life in a hotel that long.

Hope you're right but rumors are just that, rumors. I've had enough happen at eagle in my short career to expect the worst and hold on.

Standups/CDOs are still legal in part 117. Do you guys have any TAFB rigs? 30hr overnights are often the most efficient (cost wise) if you can't do a shorter overnight; you may start seeing a few more of them .

No rigs of any kind... yet. They are a top priority in contract negotiations currently underway.
