I think what he meant to say is that you don't have to immediately answer your phone. You still have to return the call within 15 minutes.
Don't ever call them back.

Just mark yourself notified from your phone 14 minutes after the first attempt at contact.

Avoid a situation where over a recorded line they can ask you such questions as "where are you, how long until you can be at gate so and so."

This is my tactic on ready more than anything else.

Maybe this is why.

Question: once quick upgrades happen at a regional wouldn't it continue like a "trickle down effect" due to people upgrading getting they're pic time then moving on? Or do some "lifers" get in the way of that?

Wow, didn't realize the number of people at the regionals without a college degree was that high. Thanks.

For all the suck, I sort of feel safer in my job at Mesa than I would at any other regional except maybe Compass. So many are winding down or can't hire. Mesa just keeps plugging along.

Flaps and I are most definitely one of those people, unless say another 9/11 or 2008 happens.

So there's at least two people who won't be here in 2-3 years.

Should be at least 1 or 2 early 2013 hires in that CRJ class. Still plenty of senior people holding out for PHX CA and/or EJet CA lineholder.

There are plenty of Regionals in a good spot. Here at TSA things are going up and up and up. I mean if we staff what we were awarded we will get even more. PSA looks good, Air Wisky, Go Jet (yuck), PDT, Horizon, Skywest are all good stable places I would think.
