I don't get it. What's a good start? And how exactly does it indicate an impending collapse? For all Mesa's questionable actions, and the grief they sometimes cause, it's absurd to think Mesa's board is "too stupid" to understand the company's position. As far as I can tell, the company is plugging along just fine in the typical Mesa fashion.

This wasn't the theme at all when I was in training, and I'm pretty sure most of the same people are running the department. Are people now coming in preconditioned to hate Mesa?

I don't get it either. Yeah it's not perfect but Mesa isn't suffering an "impending collapse" that I've seen.

And how long were you at Mesa before you left and went to PSA? No offense, but just because you bailed doesn't mean the place is going to hell in a hand basket. The grass isn't always greener ya know...

Just had to vent. Mesa is just a barometer for the industry. The biggest risk is further scope erosion that allowed this to happen. Great people at Mesa for the most part.

So with the new upgrades, Mesa has about 105 E-Jet captains, and will need 40 to 50 more to finish staffing them - 150 captains for 30 aircraft. Is that about right?

10/month attrition is very little if you ask me.

I'm thinking more than that, and according to mx staff, it's 35.

There have only been 30 E175s announced for Mesa, of which 2 are planned as spares. 150 in each seat is 5 crews per aircraft which for Mesa is pretty high, historically, so I doubt it'll be more than that. They may only staff for 28 as well since the other 2 are spares.

Isn't United scoped out on RJs at the moment?
