All the Floridians in my class are bidding for it. I'm hoping it helps PHX go more junior.

Whats a normal day of work for you?

Hours of Sitting?
Hours of Flying?
It depends on seniority, base, and the way you bid. As a line holder you can get anywhere between 1-5 legs per day with anywhere between 30 minutes and 3 hours between arrival/departure. You can be on duty anywhere between 2 hours and your max (max depends on number of legs and when you start your day day).

As a junior reservist, you'll probably sit a lot, and have a lot of deadheads. Most of my 4-days have been about 17-20 hours. Some days are busy, some days possibly only 1 leg and could include a 30 hour overnight. So you see there are a lot of factors, and no two days are usually the same.

First let me say thank you for the information.

I feel sure I will only be a reservist for a month as I am on the Ejet and I understand that I will be in-between 50-60 on the seniority.

What's the upgrade time for the ejet guys if they are to start in Oct. 15?

Are all the EJets going to IAH exclusively? It's hard to see where UAL are going to find enough markets for 30 E175s out of IAH. Surely IAD, LAX or ORD are likely second bases? I know the CRJ base in ORD is closing, but my buddy at Mesa thinks that they will announce a 175 base in ORD six months to the day after announcing the closure of the CRJ base. He said if they do that then they don't have to move the CRJ guys over to the 175 as it will no longer count as a displacement bid or something?

Looking at the schedules YV 175s will be flying to the following destinations from IAH by December: AUS, OKC, ATL, MSP, MSY, DFW, DTW, YEG, YYC, YYZ, YUL, BDL, PIT. There can't be that many more routes suitable for the 175 that aren't already flown by Shuttle America, Skywest or ExpressJet? Maybe MEX, MCI, CLT, MIA, SAT, PHX, NAS, STL, SLC? Other than that there isn't much?

Hopefully it's within 12 months, because you will be fully prepared for it and, gosh darnit, you deserve it!

I was offered a class date after a phone interview over a year ago, the offer came in an email about 3 months after the phone interview, and by the time I got that offer I had just completed training and signed a contract for 18 months with a 121 cargo feeder company. So I very politely turned down the offer explaining the reason why.

I am considering applying again for the Ejet, anyone knows how much they pay during and after training? Any information on the training is welcome. Pass/wash out rate?

Thanks!
