Is it possible to credit more than monthly guarantee while flying in Hawaii? What about the US bases?

How is the flying on the 700/900? Longer trips / fewer legs per day? I imagine that a PHX base will likely be flying out West, while the others stay in the North-East.

How likely is it to get a line quickly at the various bases, also which bases are rather junior right now?

Lastly, what kind of travel benefits could I expect?

Appreciate the info.

*Hawaii = tough to break gaurantee (8 leg days) longest leg is like 1/2 hour. Very small operation

*Best flying is PHX/West Coast (USAir CRJ900) however the base is dwindling and Super-Senior. You will only see the base during training your IOE "if then" and possibly any carpet dance you might have with the CP? ;-)

*Other good flying is ORD (United CRJ700) trips, longer legs, better overnights, younger crews. United system is terrible however...

*IAD (CRJ700 United) and CLT (CRJ900 USAir) provide the best and most productive shots for Newhires to obtain a line or at least get flying while on RSV.

*Every new hire chooses CLT until they get over the "900."
The east flying varys greatly with a mix of east coast, west coast, short and longish. (20mins to 2:40Hrs.) CLT-GSO vs. CLT-OMA

*On Reserve(RSV) at any base you will never break guarantee.

*Hawaii (HNL,KOA) Bases are most junior, closely followed by IAD. (because everyone knows Dulles just sucks and costs as much as Hawaii)

*Benefits on UAL and USAir pretty immediate with option to add family etc.

as said previously, the Hawaii legs are shorter, so you'll probably com up shorter than with other bases that have longer legs.

reigonals don't fly very far compared to their larger counterparts. Most trips are :30-1:30. If you want to get a better idea, google a tail number and look it up in flightaware. Iad might be expensive to live in, but most that don't want phx bid for iad/clt because the weather is usually better and is usually 'easier flying'

Lastly, what kind of travel benefits could I expect?

[/B] standby for you and verified immediate family and parents. It's pretty standard In most airlines. [/B]

What are the trips out of ORD like? Will it take a while to hold a commutable line there?

So ive got Skwest Bro F/O...a couple tran states guys ...a guy named CBreezy who doesn't even have 1500 hours yet. Just getting an idea of credibility in these forums.

Slats I'd be careful throwing out that DUI stuff. Even on a forum board I think it's a bad idea....to even attempt to stereotype a pilot group like that or even provide a stigma is flat out libel/slander I'd like the mods to please lock or remove Slats from this forum. Incredibly offensive!!! Skywest guys please reel in SLATS I know he doesn't represent you at all.

Just lock it out.
Also our good old buddy Slats was also a Colgan guy. With his last screen name as "Luv2Rotate", he was sodomized at the Majors forum. There is something seriously wrong with that guy.

First off, you have no idea what my credentials are but what I will say is that your one assumption about me is incorrect.

Second, I suggest you look up what libel and slander mean. Just because you don't like the truth doesn't make it slander...nor did he try to defame or attack any single person or identify anyone by name or insinuate any particular person.

If a company is willing to hire someone with previously stated black marks, it does provide an indication that they are willing to hire less than ideal candidates. More appropriately, it begs the question, who wouldn't they hire. If I were searching for a regional job (the reason why many people read these forums), I wouldn't want to go to a place that let's every person who gets 1500 hours fly their airplanes.

I don't think two DUI's make for a bad guy. Maybe bad decisions and bad luck outside the airplane but I can name hundreds of pilots that are friends of mine that have left the bar in a questionable condition to drive.

You said it yourself chief. I would focus on getting the minimums if you don't have them already
