Yep. People always seem to think that passing the checkride is the big deal, but if you've never flown 121 or a jet, IOE is the big deal.
I remember AE had a 30 hour max for IOE. If you weren't cutting it by then you were out. Now some regionals are allowing people to fly 80 hours on IOE...

Do they let you jump seat during the training process to get an idea of what. IOE will look like?

You jumpseat a few flights before IOE just to get a feel, then they say around 35 hours of IOE.

Fat pilots carry less payload?
New 700s to DFW for AA. (Credibly source but seems ridiculous to me)
DFW opening, CLT downsizing.
ORD is closing. Looks like IAD will go super senior as it will be the only (large) east coast base.
LAX opening.
IAH still the only E175 base.

No, nothing is ridiculous.
The ioe requirement is 25 hours. some may take a bit more. After ground school, you are required to observe 4 flight legs in the jumpseat.

Why does everyone act like it's a conspiracy theory? It says right on the Envoy Wikipedia page that "all 47 converting to another regional carrier" and cites this press article:
