I would get a short-term apt/crashpad, and have my own car rather than stay in it (or anywhere near STL-Lambert).

Really? I mean if they put you guys up at the Extended Stay America at the STL airport, that's understandable...

The Pear Tree Inn near the airport. It's a step up from the sleep inn. Much better breakfast and free drinks at happy hour.
