Any best guesses/leaked info on when DFW might open up for Mesa?

It'll probably be operating sometime late fall or winter.
Since Mesa's new DFW hub will essentially be transferred there from Charlotte, it seems safe to assume it'll be a CRJ hub. That said, American has stated it won't be placing any of the new RJ's with Envoy in the near future, so...

Hmm...I start training early Sept. So, do I hope to go to CLT and get moved to DFW if/when that happens?

From management:
They're scouting maintenance bases over the next two weeks, so it seems perfectly reasonable that Mesa could be operating there by the end of the year.
I hope it goes well for you guys, I really do.
We know there have been a number of rumors out there about where Mesa will be flying for American Airlines as they consolidate their operations with U.S. Airways. What we can confirm is we are in discussions with American to relocate our Charlotte operations to DFW over the next 12 months and to set up a small operation in LAX (8-10 aircraft) by October.
American is pleased with our performance and their decision to move our Charlotte operations to Dallas is to focus our flying in the Western U.S. (DFW, PHX and LAX.)...

Nah, just choose where you most want to be based until Dallas opens up. The airplanes currently in CLT will be moved there over about a year, but that has no impact on where pilots transfer to. If you were so inclined, you could choose LAX one month then PHX the next then CLT then IAD after that, then Dallas. The only requirement is you have enough seniority for the base.

I'm gong to be an ANG pilot up in WV. So, IAD or CLT works for now. DFW sparked my interest because my wife's family is from that area.
