Mesa Loses Dash 8 Flying

OK, here's my question and don't take this the wrong way, I don’t want to see anyone out of work.
What kind of contractual language exists to protect DAL, UAL and US from a MAG BK? What rights exist for both sides?
I've heard that a MAG BK allows US to come in and restructure their agreement with the possibility of cancellation. Does DAL and UAL have the same rights?
I'm not saying that US or UAL will jump at the chance but we ALL know that DAL will......

I assume DAL would terminate them immediately (Duh).
UA already appears to be going down that road anyway.
By all accounts, Parker would love to get rid of them but I'm not sure he would want to lose the 40-odd 900's with zero notice. A BK MAG might be reduced to just the airways 900 flying.

there was a rumor not long ago that Paul Foley came into a recurrent ground school class and remarked that mesa will be down to a ~700 pilot list in the near future. i've heard similar undertones from a former chief pilot. losing the crj 200's with united would pretty much put us there, i reckon. i'm gonna go from captain to furlough in like 1 year and change.
i can't help but laugh at that misfortune. yes, i was wise to hitch my wagon to the mesa star. LOL. oh, crap.

Mesa. We had a considerable amount of transition training going on (CRJ-DHC8, DHC8-CRJ, ERJ-CRJ, ERJ-DHC8).
Today, they sent everyone home. They're going to figure out how many pilots they need, furlough, then train. Makes sense to me.
By my calculations we will lose at least 30 (10 DHC8, and 20ish CRJ's) airframes on April 30, 2010. By my count (roughly 300 pilots), that will put us right around a 850ish pilot airline. 400 to hold the left seat; about 8 years seniority.

A friend that's high up at Mesa said that the CRJ 200 program is losing money for Mesa and that its not a sad story to lose the flying. I guess the UA flying is such 'low yield' for Mesa that it will be cheaper to pay the lease-return penalty on the planes (and send a few out to Hawaii they can't get out of) rather than keep the agreement.
FWIW, I'm hearing UA is OK with the CRJ 700 flying...
