If and only if we did any of that flying it would be a Saab since we are losing the LGA flying which frees up a few airframes. I dont see us flying saabs out there.

Who knows.
If they did put Saabs out there, they would send all of the derivative engines to the mountains. Colder air means better performance, right?

I am hoping the replacement will have higher standards and a management that treats its employees with at least an ounce of respect.
A little of my ex-dash pride here but the dash-8's we had in DEN were great, great airplanes. I don't recall ever flying one with more than 2 MELs, and that happened very infrequently. Not saying things didn't break, but those airplanes were far more reliable than the CRJs I'm flying now.

Does the flying that ASA picked up from United have anything to do with the 26 CRJs that MESA is losing or are they seperate issues? Is there still more flying to be shifted around?

Until we're all flying for $7.50 an hour, there's lots of shifting left to do...

Its true the dehaveland (sp?) product was a good product, good airplane. The Bombardier product and the new dash (Q400), should be called the MX400.

OK, here's my question and don't take this the wrong way, I don’t want to see anyone out of work.

What kind of contractual language exists to protect DAL, UAL and US from a MAG BK? What rights exist for both sides?

I've heard that a MAG BK allows US to come in and restructure their agreement with the possibility of cancellation. Does DAL and UAL have the same rights?

I'm not saying that US or UAL will jump at the chance but we ALL know that DAL will......

there was a rumor not long ago that Paul Foley came into a recurrent ground school class and remarked that mesa will be down to a ~700 pilot list in the near future. i've heard similar undertones from a former chief pilot. losing the crj 200's with united would pretty much put us there, i reckon. i'm gonna go from captain to furlough in like 1 year and change.

i can't help but laugh at that misfortune. yes, i was wise to hitch my wagon to the mesa star. LOL. oh, crap.
