I overheard an ALPA rep and a captain talking about a major announcement coming out in September… they speculated that it would be United buying out Mesa. Has anyone heard this rumor?

I am well aware rumors are very unreliable in this industry. Just wondering if others have heard the same thing.

Also, any updates on the CRJ program? Are we ramping up operations in Denver? I know we sent our line qualified instructors back to the line and stopped hiring, but I spoke to a recruiter and he said they’re still hiring CRJ non line qualified sim instructors in anticipation of resuming hiring later this year.

seniority starts the day you go to class. So if they really cared they could give y’all day 1 pay you for 1 day get your senority number then send you home until training is open. But that’s the regionals Shows you how little they care.

lol. thats not how the pilot contract works. Pilot contract says you are paid from the first day you are hired, at minimum monthly guarantee, not one day pay as you suggest. it also states thats when you get your seniority number. That would be a clear breach of contract.

Not happening. These kinds of rumors are stock in trade for management and their shills, to make people think twice about leaving. Don't fall for it, at mesa or any other airline.

Who cares Mesa won’t be around for that anyways. Take a look at SkyWest’s stock price today and the past few weeks. Looks like internally it’s rumored their cheapest competitor is going bye bye.

When I did CQ in Jan, word from my fave EJet APD was that it was 40% for all CA upgrades.

40% pass rate, wtf? What's going on there? It just makes me not want to upgrade into the ejet and just be an FO somewhere else like atlas lol.

Can you not voluntarily displace into EJet as an FO? I know they are training bunch of PHX guys right now.
