With the exception of SkyWest and Republic, every regional is just a mainline executive's pen stroke away from going under.

Nope, just a reminder that regionals don't control their own destiny. Regardless of how much time is left on a CPA contract with a mainline airline, or how much money a mainline airline has invested in a regional, the mainline carrier can terminate the contract, pull the the flying and shut the airline down. Ask the pilots of Compass, ExpressJet, and Trans States.

Has anyone gotten an invite for an interview recently? I initially applied late April and have been updating my app on Airlineapps.com every few weeks but have not heard anything from Mesa.

Mesa CRJ performance recently has been a complete shiat show. CRJs constantly break down causing immense delays. No crew and shortage of captains further causing delays.
It wouldn't surprise me if United also decided to part ways with Mesa like American did. The performance has just been really, really bad.
Mesa needs to change all thier fleet to EJETS asap and start selling those clapped out CRJs. If not, one of two things will happen.
United will drop them and they will only be a DHL cargo airline, or Mesa folds it's books and is done for.

If JO and Uncle Scott were not friends, then the plug would have been pulled at the end of ‘22. Scott Kirby is mesa’s last savior and I’m sure with the recent performance (after Kirby pulled out his checkbook) he is not happy at all.
