True for US and first world countries. If you are in a developing country, good hotels are okay. But other places the water is not fit to drink. Ask me how I know. Not die, but feel like you wish you had.

…and, yes, don’t eat the yellow snow where the huskies go.

Whether it’s from a glass or a bottle. So I should leave the bottle I drank from on the plane? Let’s be serious on both sides. The company can set any stupid policy it wants. It’s their company. They make the rules. Even the stupid ones. Use some common sense. When you take the water, don’t leave them short for the pax on the next flight. You CAN fill from a fountain in the airport. Or even the damn sink in the hotel. You won’t die.

drink the water from the bathroom sink in all the Mexico overnights y’all fly to and see how that works out for you.

Clearly you've got a very limited background.

Why so black and white? It’s not all or nothing. Mexico overnight? Take a water if you didn’t bring your own. My 1 micron carbon filter uv light bottle with added iodine and chlorine tablets works fine. I could probably order them with Mesa logos and sell them to my crews.

All the residents aren’t sick from from drinking the water. Drink what they drink.

That is a naive statement. Many areas have parasites and toxins in their water. Average life expectancy is age 60. That means you and I both would, on average, be dead. Even if you look back to 1900, in the US, one of the leading causes of death was diarrhea. If you ask public health nurses what is the greatest benefit to increase life, they would say, “clean water.”

I have known towns in Mexico where even the poorest people drink bottled water. Their health has benefited from it.

Again, a very clear statement of ignorance. More so, that you don't know why this is wrong, and ignorant. And dangerous.

You really don't know, do you?

Respectfully, this is 100% wrong. The residents there don't get sick because thier immune system is used to the water pathogens they have there. Your immune system is not like thiers. You WILL eventually 100% get sick drinking tap water from a foreign country. Especially if it's third world. Do not ever drink tap water from Mexico, Dubai, Japan, or where ever the hell you end up.

Adding to my point, drinking hotel tap water is straight up nasty. Other than the obvious of it tasting like crap, you know how many people wash thier feet in the sink, vomit there, or handle a bloody nose there? And no. The hotel cleaning dosnt clean it.

I believe Mesa should 100% crew with water bottle. You are right, it's thier company and they can make the rules... That's when ALPA comes in and tells them to put stuff in the contract to counter crap like this. This is stooping down to a whole new level.

all you guys need are a couple injury on duties and cancelations from montazumas revenge and there will be no more arguments over a 20 cent bottle of water. The airline buys it in bulk.
