What are you talking about? If UA buys Mesa then follow what AMG wrote. Pretty simple. Mesa FA’s probably stapled unless they are covered by McCaskill-Bond statute which there is some doubt.

why wouldn't they be?

This isn't that hard, mesa would file for bankruptcy before UAL bought and absorbed all of Mesa.

maxjet your post you mentioned “want”, why would I assume you were speaking about a merger plus a merger doesn’t care what the FAs “want”.
So what exactly are you talking about?

That is exactly why it will never happen. It’s a completely avoidable expense. If UAL suddenly changed their minds about operating 175’s, they could simply transfer those that they already own over to their certificate, hire off of the street, and avoid all of the merger cost.

AA is cutting ties with Mesa, quoting financial and operational concerns. Winding down will start in March and conclude on April 3rd, 2023. AA also quotes its regional feed will be preformed by “high-quality regionals, such as Envoy, PSA, and SkyWest”. Also quoting that their Wholly owned regionals, as well as their partners moving forward, will provide them with safe, reliable, and convenient service.”

The writing was on the wall when Envoy opened PHX, and PSA opened DFW. The bold print was underlined when Air Wisconsin was picked up by AA. Bail out now if you’re still there, the ship has began to sink. Best of luck to you all!

United already bought a **** ton of 737’s to replace regional flying… they don’t want to buy Mesa. Best of luck to you all.
