This is factually inaccurate. Until the free raises outside of negotiations by the AA WO mesa was lower mid level in pay. Performance has been average that I’ve seen all four years I was there.

Mesa has a reputation, and it seems like sky west for some reason, unbeknownst to me, is a serious hater of mesa. I guess the Mormon Air Force just doesn’t like others playing in the same sand box. Regardless, mesa has a purpose and the pilot group is awesome. Management will do everything to screw a pilot and throw the contract aside until you call them on it. It’s the reason I told every new hire coming through sims when they were done to read the scheduling section of the contract first.

Facts:
2020 Mesa 8 year captain was $75 which was the lowest. Average* was $87.50
(*skywest republic endeavor envoy PSA horizon gojet Mesa )

Pre2022 raise
YV 1. $67 3. $72 5. $76 10. $87
OO 1. $81 3. $86 5. $91 10 $105
YV being the lowest of 9E, YX, PSA, QX, G7, MQ, AW, OO.
Kevin it doesn’t matter but don’t lie, whitewash or falsely remember YV.
…and it only got worse for Mesa when comparing QOL items and soft pay.

It’s “SkyWest”, and the majority if not all SkyWest new hires who failed out of training ended up at Mesa. When I was at SkyWest we had around 9 new hires not make it through initial training. I think 2 went to ExpressJet and the others… MESA. I was flying out of ORD during my time at OO which is a “sand box” for quite a few regionals. We all got along just fine. Mesa has a bad reputation with the “Mormon Air Force” for a reason.

Oh this definitely. As a new hire I was clueless on many things, such as reserve rules and bidding and all that. Thank god for ALPA.

I would also urge all new hires to read the PWA (pilot contract)... more specifically the reserve+scheduling section (page 100 or something). Know your rights as a pilot at MAG.

I learned a lot just reading through the contract on my commutes or when I am bored sitting reserve at the airport. Its your bible.

Some people just need more training/practice than others. Doesn’t make them bad pilots. Thanks for giving the mesa peeps their practice sims.

News flash! you’re regional is a house made of crap just like everyone else’s here in the regional forum so don’t act like it doesn’t stink. Additionally, the fact that you’re on here degrading fellow pilots doesn’t make us at Mesa look bad but it does say something about you. 🤷‍♂️

lol, you didn’t change anything or refute what I said. Look at pre 2018 pay charts. Mesa wasn’t the bottom. I’m not falsely remembering anything. Just speaking th truth.
