But mesa could not upgrade sufficient captains to be able to meet the demand. So it’s a stalemate and it was a mutual parting of the ways. AA Needs the mesa lift short term. But mesa can’t do it at the old rates and without some contract relief. This is a good deal for mesa. Probably better for mesa than it is for American.
I had a car that leaked a significant amount of gas, but then the engine blew and I had no car. I was a good deal for me.

The car leaked because your support equipment was old and your support staff inadequate. Your expectations were unreasonable based on the reality of resources. Same car with a different operator was just fine. The only reason it ever stopped leaking is because you refused to buy gas when the price of gas went up. Instead you decided to siphon the gas off for your other vehicles. You chose this ultimately. Now the car has a new owner and you have no ride.

Should have driven a VW. They keep a spare engine in the trunk.

The mad dogs always kept two spare engines by the tail, in case they lost their underwing engines.

Yet SK is delaying an industry leading contract with pay and benefits but he continues to spread cash all around everywhere else with ease .

That’s the only step you will see. This is a band aid till the lift can be replaced by mainline aircraft. MAG has always been a joke of an airline (pay, performance etc). MAG is the definition of bottom feeder
