1200 in ORD and no announcements to the United employees about this wonderful new jet joining our fleet!

not even a single mention of Mesa Airlines……JO is lying to you.

I have nothing against Mesa employees and wish them all the success in the world flying the much better E175 for United Express.
3:00 mark, from Scott himself. I’ve got nothing to say either way on this, this is just what he’s saying.

also, asked Scott what the timeframe is and he said end of the year to finish the details.

You can't just "buy" 49% of a publicly traded company. Someone has to sell it to you. And what do you do with a minority stake at a publicly traded company?
Expressjet was completely different as it was owned by SkyWest and not publicly traded.
mergers and acquisitions happen every day…..I’m not an expert but it’s not impossible I’m sure of it

Mergers and acquisitions don't happen at 49% with publicly traded companies. That is simply not a thing. The largest shareholder owns only 4% of Mesa. They would have to convince thousands of owners to sell their share. That just doesn't happen.

You can take it off the stock market by buying it 100% which obviously is not possible due to the famous FA scope clause, but what you are suggesting is simply not possible.

Kirby also addressed that. Can’t happen he said due to union stuff.

Seems it was not what investors wanted to hear, stock dropped back to Friday close.

United squatting on large RJs cooling the demand for pilots and blocking “cheap” AA capacity.

I highly doubt this is just pilot training bandwidth.
Wouldn’t matter if PSA could get all of them. Cannot staff what we have and losing 45-65 pilots per month. Mostly CA’s now since the pay raise helped FO attrition.

Well they’d displace 700s and 7s displace 200s, or 9s go to Skywest or Air Wisconsin.

Mostly deprecated 76 seat planes have value if your operating any 65 or 50 seat ones and aren’t scoped out. Buying new ones of a different type while trying to reduce debt is a bit of a pill to swallow.

Sounds like United and AA in a ****ing contest more then Mesa cant run a displacement bid.

I departed SkyWest a year ago but one thing I learned is how much they hated operating the 900’s. They’re junk, including the newer Atmosphere’s. Mesa 900’s have to be the biggest pieces of crap in the entire regional industry with their 20 MEL’s per frame.

A few months ago I jumped on a mesa 900 to get to PHX. I’ve never seen so many MEL stickers in a flight deck in my life. It wasn’t funny tbh.

Considering the early FJ and LR registration birds are nearly 20 years old,I’m not surprised. Nothing says customer experience like parking 1-5 year old ERJs for old worn out -900s.
