Doesn't United already "own" CommutAir in the form of being a 49% stakeholder? Or are they thinking of going AA style and turning all the regionals into wholly owns?

Any truth to that or just pure speculation?

UA does own a large stake in C5. I've heard 40%, 45% and 49%. Not sure what the actual number is, but it's a good chunk.

With PSA/Envoy over at PHX/DFW, Mesa is going to significantly shrink.

There are parked 175s. 900s can be flown the crews retrained and 900s parked as crews trained and 175s added back.

Some are already sold. But to the Malta operation. Don’t read too much into this delay.

UA is limited to only owning 49% of any other airline by the FA scope. If the own a majority then UA flight attendants have to work those flights

it’s a pipe dream to believe that UA will purchase a regional.

/QUOTE]

You do aware they currently are currently flying CRJ-200s? With an average fleet age of over 20 years?
